Master of Whispers Always Dead?
For some reason Whispers just cannot stay alive. He has no sac skills, paratistic and SoLS as self heals. After fighting my way from marketplace to undercity, he had 45dp. 45dp from fighting groups of 3-5 I might add. I put him on Guard Mode. Is there actually a bug with his AI, or is it just me?

Seems a little weird. Every time I check on him, he's shoulder to shoulder with my melee hench/heroes, if not beyond. He seems to love trucking into the middle of a group and just standing there.

That's nice. In PvE if theres a caster in the front line with the warriors it will get targeted. Theres a big difference in PvP.

I have ran whispers as sould barb/ recuring insecurities and MM and have had a guildie running it as a modified blood and no issues aside from a minor helping hand on the skill bar from time to time.

For me, Master of Whispers was defaulted at "attack" mode; and yes, he was dying more than I thought a necro should. After realizing this, and setting him to "guard" mode, I found that he performed much better.
Keep in mind that this is for a Paragon character, so he's staying with me in the backline. However, if you are a melee type, you should consider going with "passive" mode just to be sure.
Hope this helps.

Not sure about whispers, but I run Olias as a mm on aggressive and he's fine.

I've found with Olias that if you put him on "Guard" as an MM he'll do a great job of raising minions and staying out of trouble. However, he's so tentative that sometimes he doesn't get the minions to aggro the enemies. I find I have to pull the enemy mobs into the minion cloud to get things rolling. Then all is good.
I'd put MoW on "Guard" mode too and see how it works for you.

Usually the back line heroes run up to front line if they have a touch or PBAoE spell (Inferno for instance). Check the skill bar for suspicious spell and try again.
I hope this helps.

That's the problem. I forgot I gave him blood ritual...he probably just runs up to the dervish hench and uses it. I took it away, and he's good now...thanks.
